Mini Boat Tours

Drive your own mini boat on a guided dolphin tour through Hilton Head's waterways

The Mini Boat Tour is one of the most unique things you can do on Hilton Head — and it's hard to explain until you've done it. You're behind the wheel of your own small boat, following a guide through 20–25 miles of Hilton Head's backwater creeks and open sound. It's part sightseeing tour, part adventure, and completely unlike anything else on the island.

You'll cruise past the Harbour Town Lighthouse, skirt the shores of Daufuskie Island, and wind through narrow marsh channels where the wildlife is thick — herons, egrets, pelicans, and almost certainly dolphins. The boats hold up to 4 people comfortably, so it's perfect for families or couples who want their own space. Guides lead the way and narrate the whole time, so you get the local knowledge without having to do any of the navigating.

No boating experience required — if you can drive a go-kart, you can drive a mini boat. Bottled water is included. Departs from Palmetto Bay Marina.
